Some words and thoughts that I wrote down for you.
Treasures of Darkness
The Bible tells us that God will give us the treasures of darkness. But most of us don’t want to be in darkness. I prefer the “light”; I like to know what’s going on. I like to see what I’m facing and what’s coming. I don’t feel in control in darkness.
Agreement with God
Are you in agreement with God? I would say, “Yes!” But then follow it up with, “Well, mostly—most of the time. Sometimes, I’m not. Sometimes, I don’t understand.” Most of us can probably say we are in agreement with God – for His outcomes, but maybe not His ways.
The Master Potter
Clay has to be soft, malleable, to be shaped into something. And I wonder – are we like that? Do we soften to God’s touch and bend in the direction He wants us to go? Or are we a little hard and resistant, and His hand working in our life feels uncomfortable?
Untangling
If we want to see God do great and wonderful things, beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, hopes, or dreams, then we have to be open to Him working in our lives. We have to be open to Him revealing hurts we need to forgive, worries we need to bring to Him, control we need to release… the list goes on. It’s a healing work, an untangling of us from the world.
Eating Clean
Some thoughts on clean eating. But not just physically, what would it look like to eat clean mentally, emotionally, and spiritually?
